Beech Hill Bird Week

ROCKPORT – In celebration of spring and the return of song birds, Coastal Mountains Land Trust is hosting three bird walks at Beech Hill Preserve. For each of the three walks, meet at the Rockville Street entrance to Beech Hill (not near the Blueberry barn), with binoculars, water, insect repellant, and appropriate clothing. Be prepared to do a thorough tick check after.

  • Saturday, May 19, 7-10 a.m. — Hike the Guide meets Arts on the Hill: Brian Willson will lead this early morning bird walk, ending at Beech Nut for coffee and donuts where classical guitarist Malcolm Brooks will provide entertainment. If you want to come for only the music, join us at 9 am, park on Beech Hill Road trailhead near the main gates and come up the farm road to the hut.
  • Monday, May 21, 7-9 a.m. — Brian Willson shares his extensive knowledge of all things birding.
  • Wednesday, May 23, 7-9 .am. — Local expert birder Kristen Lindquist will help you identify and observe birds of Beech Hill.
