Bangor boys soccer sneaks past Camden Hills

BANGOR — The Camden Hills boys soccer team traveled to Bangor Saturday, Sept. 9 where the Windjammers were edged 1-0. 

Garth Berenyi scored the lone goal for Bangor in the first half just outside the 18 yard box with 17 minutes left in the opening half. 

Jacob Monroe made eight saves on eight shots in goal for Bangor while Lucas Boetsch made 12 saves on 13 shots for the Windjammers. Bangor had 10 corners compared to Camden Hills’ seven. 

"I'm very pleased with the effort, our boys played their hearts out today and had some great chances to even the game,” Camden Hills head coach Ryan Hurley said. “We are a work in progress and I have no doubt about how good we can be if we continue to progress and grow."
