ROCKPORT — The Rockport Public Library will host Ben Hatke for an author/illustrator event on Saturday, April 13, at 11 a.m. Hatke will be presenting “The Three Secrets of Visual Storytelling.” This program will be comic-centered, and a way for kids to see his process for creating graphic novels. They will also see how to apply Hatke’s strategies to the development of their own stories.

Ben Hatke is the author and illustrator of the New York Times–bestselling Zita the Spacegirl trilogy. He also is the author of the picture books Julia's House for Lost Creatures and Nobody Likes a Goblin; the graphic novels Little Robot, Mighty Jack, and his newest, Things in the Basement.
