Arlene F. (Bryant) Herrick, obituary

ROCKPORT — Arlene F. (Bryant) Herrick, 88, of Belfast, passed away on November 12, 2017 at Sussman House. 
 
She was born on February 20, 1929 in Belfast, the daughter of Elmer and Evelyn (Hutchins) Bryant.  Arlene graduated from Crosby High School in 1949.  She and Foster Herrick married right after high school and started their family. 
 
Arlene was a hostess at McDonald’s in Belfast for over 20 years.  The VFW Ladies Auxillary was proud to have her as a lifetime member. Arlene worked Bingo on Friday nights, had a love of dancing and karaoke and was even nominated as the karaoke queen singing her favorites of Tennessee Waltz and songs of Patsy Cline. 
 
She will also be remembered for her love of family and friends and, of course, food.
 
She is predeceased by her parents; sister Avis Peters; brothers Carlton Bryant and Melvin Bryant; sister-in-law Frances Day; sons-in-law Jon Adams and William Brown; great grandson Herrick Michael Gross.  Arlene is survived by her children: Jocelyn Thompson and her husband Bruce of New Hampshire; LuAnne Adams and husband Kim Drinkwater of Northport, Stacie Brown and fiancé John of Searsmont, Colburn Herrick and wife Mary of Belfast, Tracey Herrick and wife Tina of Lincolnville; sister Natalie Dean and husband Glendon of Hampden and sister-in-law Hazle Bryant; 14 grandchildren, Carol, Heather, Jennifer, Michelle, Chad, Billy, Kevin, Christopher, Nikki, Megan, Kristi, Katy, Aaron, Chloe; 22 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  
 
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours from 4-6 p.m. Friday, November 17, at Riposta Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday the 18th.  Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery.  Those who wish may make donations in Arlene’s memory to VFW Ladies Auxiliary, 34 Field Street, Belfast, ME 04915.
