CAMDEN – Arriving in Camden on Saturday, June 9, the Appledore II completed its 1,200 mile journey from its winter port in Key West, Florida. Leaving Key West May 31, the ship and crew took nine and a half days at sea to complete the trip.

Settled into its dock at 18 Bayview Landing, the Appledore will begin its summer season on Friday, June 15.

Captain Matthew Tkach said the crew was solid on the trip.

"It was a great sail," he said. "No one got seasick and we had an amazing time. The wind was blowing snot. It was a quick trip."

The Appledore is an 86-foot U.S. registered Tall Ship and provides two hour day sails out of Camden Harbor four times a day.
