Ann Matlack makes a run for House District 92

    Ann Matlack, of St. George, has submitted her nomination papers to run for House District 92. Matlack filed her papers March 6 with the Secretary of State's Office. She is a Democrat. 

    Matlack is currently the Board Chairwoman for Penquis, a nonprofit serving residents of Knox, Penobscot and Piscataquis counties.

    She served for 10 years on the Knox County Budget Committee and the St. George Budget Committee and two terms on the former School Administrative District 50 Board.

    She was also the Assistant to the City Manager of Rockland and served briefly as Town Administrator in South Thomaston.

    Matlack also participated in the Midcoast Leadership Academy and for several years was an owner of Market on Main in Rockland.

    “I have many years experience working for my community, at the local, county and regional levels,” Matlack said. “I believe I have a reputation for fairness and for accomplishing goals. I want to continue to use my experience to represent my community in Augusta.”

    District 92 encompasses Cushing, South Thomaston, St. George, Thomaston and Matinicus Isle Plantation, plus the unorganized territories of Criehaven and Muscle Ridge Islands townships.
