Megunticook Rowing will host a fundraising car wash at the Key Bank at Market Square in Camden on Sunday, August 20 from 10 am to 3 pm. Megunticook Rowing is a non-profit community organization dedicated to providing the greatest possible access to rowing for anyone aged 12 and up. We believe in the importance of community, teamwork, good sportsmanship, competition, fitness, commitment, camaraderie, and FUN.  Our competitive junior rowing team is open to all area students aged 12 and over. The team competes in regattas around New England. Megunticook Rowing recently purchased two “eights”, boats that are rowed by eight athletes. Previously we have only had “fours”. The new boats will enable the team to grow, making it possible for more area teens to row. Funds raised at our car wash on Sunday will go toward the cost of the two new boats and oars. Please come let us wash your car and help us float our boats!

On Tuesday, August 22, 2017 Megunticook Rowing will host a fundraiser for our scholarship program from 5 pm to 9 pm at Flatbread on route 1 in Rockport. Megunticook Rowing is committed to making rowing affordable for all interested junior rowers. Many of our junior rowers receive tuition assistance. Flatbread has generously offered to donate a portion of the money from every pizza on Tuesday to financial aid for  Megunticook Rowers. Prospective rowers can also come to learn more about Megunticook Rowing. Adult graduates of this summer’s Learn-to-Row program are also invited to come meet other rowers. Come enjoy pizza with us and learn more about this wonderful sport!
