The Trustees of the Rockport Masonic Center who put on the summertime lawn concerts there every Wednesday in July & August wish to say THANKS!  Thanks to the bands who came out this year and played for pass the hat donations only and thanks to the great folks who came out every Wednesday evening rain or shine to enjoy the music and fun. 

The Trustees wish to thank the following bands who shared their love of music with them and the guests this year; Rose & Wayfaring Strangers, Women’s Barbershop Chorus, Marlene Hall and the Bay Winds North Band, Belfast Fiddlers, Anah Highlanders Pipe & Drums & Miners Creek Bluegrass Band.

According to Jeff Sukeforth this year was the best so far in five years the concerts have been held, averaging at least 60 people every Wednesday evening. The crowds were just eager and ready to get started, showing up early some evenings just to get the best seat to hear and watch the bands and enjoy the home cooked burgers from the grill prepared by the Masons.

Jeff wants everyone to know that the Bands from this year have already said they will be back in 2016 and that the Trustees are looking for a few more bands willing to spend a night with them. “Our hope is to begin the concerts in June next year, if we can find the bands to come out and join us”.  If there are any bands out there who think they might like to join in the fun and be willing to play for pass the hat donations, then give Jeff a call at 691-2270.
