Calling all Pink Ladies, T-Birds and other fans of Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson: Bring your gang to Sing-a-long-a “Grease” at the Strand Theatre in Rockland at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26.

United Mid-Coast Charities is presenting this fun, family-friendly Boxing Day event to benefit local non-profit agencies. Tickets for this fund-raiser are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under are available from the Strand’s box office or online at http://rocklandstrand.com/event/grease-sing-along.

Pre-screening entertainment will include a vocal warm-up and the distribution of free fun packs for audience members to use during the show.

The stage musical "Grease" premiered at the off-Broadway Eden Theatre New York City, before transferring to Broadway in June 1972. The 1978 hit movie based on this show about good girl Sandy and greaser Danny and their 1950s Rydell High School classmates stars John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

“Grease” is the word – so bring your friends and neighbors to The Strand to enjoy this fun, classic film. Costumes are encouraged, singing is a must and dancing highly recommended.
